Coaldale Cemetery is progressing

ABOVE: The gatehouse at Coaldale Cemetery is complete. We hope you will have time to go by and look. We also hope that when the weather gets nice, and you have a few moments for meditation or prayer, this will be the place you find peace and quiet.
Thanks to everyone for the hard work that was put into this project, and to the Anschutz Family Foundation and Holcim, Inc. for their generous donations of money, R & R Construction for equipment, Austin Koch for the gravel and road work, Mike Tezak Construction, and many many more that were responsible for this beautiful Cemetery.

HI All:
I just finished taking pictures of our beautiful new road at the NEW cemetery in Coaldale. We are extremely pleased to tell you that Austen Koch and Colorado Quarries donated that gravel and the means to get it on the ground. What a wonderful gift to the community!!
Here are some pics for you to look at, or even better, drive around the new section and pack that Indian Sunset down tight before the next gulley washer.

We have completed the fence along the road at the old cemetery, and gates have been installed. This is a locked cemetery, because of the liability (??) issues. If you wish to enter to do work, cut trees, pick up trash, etc. please contact one of the Cemetery Committee members.

We have contracted for a gazebo to be built at the West gate area for folks to use as an information and resting spot. The construction for this will begin this summer, and the Development Project will be done. Gridding of the graves will continue.

9/2009 - Just got back from taking pics of the Gazebo/gatehouse base that is now poured. Oakley Construction from Cotopaxi is doing the work at their cost.
